Summary

THE VAPOUR PRESSURE AND PVT PROPERTIES IN A SUPERHEATED VAPOUR AND COMPRESSED LIQUID PHASE REGION OF R123 AND R134A WERE DETERMINED EXPERIMENTALLY. SIXTY-FIVE VAPOUR PRESSURE POINTS WERE OBTAINED FROM 314 K TO CRITICAL TEMPERATURE FOR R123, AND 41 VAPOUR PRESSURE POINTS FROM 262 K TO CRITICAL TEMPERATURE FOR R134A. ON THE BASIS OF THESE RESULTS, THE CRITICAL PRESSURE WAS DETERMINED TO BE 3.672 MEGAPASCALS FOR R123, AND IT WAS DETERMINED TO BE 4.055 MEGAPASCALS FOR R134A. IN ADDITION, THE EQUATION OF STATE AND VAPOUR PRESSURE CORRELATION WERE DEVELOPED.
