IIR partner in INDEE+

The IIR takes part of the project INDEE+ which aims to support the Indian refrigeration and Air Conditioning sector in the transition towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly technology.

INDEE+ is a Norwegian national project led by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and financed by MFA (The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs). The project aims to support the Indian refrigeration and Air Conditioning sector in the transition towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly technology in India and meet the goals set by the ratified Kigali Amendment of the Montreal Protocol.

Indee+ aims to demonstrate CO2 refrigeration technology in high energy demanding buildings challenging  the high ambient temperatures in India. Three applications were selected:  a supermarket, a hotel and in the fish processing industry to implement the technology. The IIR takes part of the project as a strategic partner to support the knowledge transfer between the Norwegian and Indian institutions by organizing the project workshops and disseminating the project results via IIR conferences and IIR co-sponsored conferences.
