Summary

THIS SOLAR COOLING SYSTEM USES ONLY ONE FLUID FOR THE COLLECTING LOOP, THE MOVING LOOP AND THE REFRIGERATION LOOP, THANKS TO THE PARTIAL VAPORIZATION OF THE MOTIVE FLUID INSIDE COLLECTORS. IN ORDER TO FEED THE MOTOR IN THE VAPOUR PHASE, A SEPARATOR IS INSERTED BETWEEN THE MOVING LOOP AND THE COLLECTING LOOP WHERE THE FLUID CIRCULATES BY MEANS OF A THERMOSIPHON. THE MODELLING OF THE OPERATION OF EACH ELEMENT IS THE BASIS OF AN OVERALL MODEL GIVING THE PERFORMANCE OF THE COMPRESSOR UNIT, THE TEMPERATURE LEVEL AND THE FLUID FLOW RATE IN THE COLLECTOR, IN FUNCTION OF THE SIZE OF THE LOOP, THE RELATIVE VOLUMES OF THE COMPRESSOR AND THE MOTOR, THE FORM OF THE MOTOR INDICATOR DIAGRAM, THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE LEVEL AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF SUN EXPOSURE.
