FRICTIONAL PRESSURE DROP AT TWO-PHASE FLOW OF CRYOGENS WITHIN HORIZONTAL TUBES. A COMPARISON OF VARIOUS CORRELATIONS WITH MEASURED DATA.

Author(s) : MULLER H. M., STEINER D.

Summary

FRICTIONAL PRESSURE DROP OF NITROGEN AND ARGON HAS BEEN STUDIED EXPERIMENTALLY WITHIN A SMOOTH HORIZONTAL COPPER TUBE WITH 14 MM ID. THESE MEASUREMENTS ARE COMPLETED BY MEASUREMENTS WITH NEON, PERFORMED ELSEWHERE. A COMPARISON BETWEEN THE MEASURED RESULTS AND VALUES CALCULATED SHOWS THAT SOME METHODS PROVIDE SATISFYING RESULTS, WHEREAS OTHERS LEAD TO ERRORS OF UP TO SEVERAL HUNDRED PERCENT.
