Summary

THE DEFINITION OF THE CRITERIA FOR THE THERMAL INSULATION OF AN INDUSTRIAL BUILDING ORIGINATES FROM A DETAILED ANALYSIS OF THE NATURE AND AMOUNT OF HEAT LOSSES, WHICH CAN BE ATTRIBUTED TO THE COMPONENTS OF THE BUILDING ENVELOPE. THE AUTHORS PRESENT A SIMPLIFIED FORMULATION OF THE VOLUME COEFFICIENT OF HEAT LOSS WHICH HAS BEEN PARTICULARLY STUDIED FOR INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS, AND IT CAN BE EASILY USED FOR ITERATIVE CALCULATIONS. BY MEANS OF THIS FORMULATION THE AUTHORS OUTLINE THE CONNECTIONS EXISTING BETWEEN LOSS OF HEAT AND TYPICAL BUILDING PARAMETERS.
