Utilisation des compresseurs centrifuges sans huile au R134a pour l'amélioration des systèmes de refroidisseurs et de conditionnement d'air au R22.

Résumé

Although the phase-out of R22 in Europe is a regulatory requirement it is also an opportunity to refurbish older equipment and achieve performance improvements by utilising technology that was not available when the plant was originally installed. Flooded R22 systems are the most difficult to convert to another refrigerant because drop-in blends are generally not suitable. This paper addresses the difficulties faced and the opportunities for improvement that are available with flooded systems. It presents three case studies: the replacement of flooded R22 air-cooled chillers and the conversion of large direct expansion air handling units. The projects were originally installed in the 1990s and the case studies illustrate ways in which system improvements were built in to the refurbishments.
