Résumé

The Advanced Rare IsotopE Laboratory (ARIEL) is a major expansion of the Isotope Separation and Acceleration (ISAC) facility at TRIUMF. The key part of the ARIEL project is a 10 mA 50 MeV continuous-wave superconducting radiofrequency (SRF) electron linear accelerator (e-linac). The 1.3 GHz SRF cavities are cooled to 2 K liquid helium. The design of the cryogenic system was based on a 4 K helium liquefier, and the 4 K to 2 K liquid helium transition will be accomplished by a cryoinsert located inside of the cryomodules. This paper does not cover the cryomodules. The contract for supplying helium cryoplant was awarded to Air Liquide Advanced Technologies (ALAT). The coldbox was manufactured and delivered to TRIUMF according to schedule in February 2013. This paper presents the results of the cryoplant acceptance tests performed by TRIUMF - ALAT task team in November 2013.
