Résumé

This paper presents a two-stage evaporative cooling air-conditioning system combined with direct evaporative cooler and indirect evaporative cooler adopting heat pipe of flat screen wicks, by means of using three kinds of air handling, which are air flowing through wet film, air flowing through air washer and spraying water onto the condensing air directly. Heat transfer would be enhanced depending on potential difference of temperature and humidity. The experimental results showed that after air was processed by the three types of evaporative cooling, the air temperature drop was 1-3°C higher than sensible heat transfer only by heat pipe. When dry-bulb temperature of primary air was above 30°C and adopted the type of spraying water directly, the mean air temperature drop could exceed 6°C and the heat transfer efficiency could reach 60%. To the two-stage evaporative cooling air-conditioning system combined with direct evaporative cooler and heat pipe type indirect evaporative cooler, the cooling efficiency ranged from 60 to 70%. When the ambient temperature was 34°C or above, the temperature drop could be beyond 10°C. By applying the novel, energy-saving and environment-protecting air-conditioning system in industrial and residential buildings would have a good prospect.
