Effets de l'environnement de la cuisine sur la consommation énergétique d'un réfrigérateur domestique : modélisation et expérimentation.

Effects of the kitchen environment on the energy consumption of a domestic refrigerator: modelling and experimentation.

Résumé

Various monitoring projects in the world have shown that the energy consumption of domestic refrigerator varies from 12 to 35% of the household electricity bill. An explanation of this elevated consumption is the use condition. The objective of the authors work is to study the part of this use condition in the increase energy consumption of domestic refrigerator. They modelled a domestic refrigerator located in the kitchen of an apartment. The equations of the refrigerant have been considered in a static mode using Engineering Equations Solver (EES). While the equations of the air inside the refrigerator and the apartment have been considered in a dynamic mode, using Transient System Simulations (TRNSYS). Daily variation of indoor air temperature has been taken into account. Indoor air temperature in the kitchen has been correlated to the exterior temperature, building structure and occupant's practices. The simulation results are compared with a refrigerator monitoring project in Algiers.
