Comparaison de performances d'un cycle frigorifique à absorption triple effet avec eau/bromure de lithium et deux sels eau/alcalin comme fluides actifs.

Performance comparison of a triple-effect absorption refrigeration cycle with water/lithium bromide and two water/alkalie salts working fluids.

Résumé

Multi-effect absorption technology was already conceived and studied, although its practical application encounters some limitations bound to construction materials and working fluids. The water/lithium bromide working fluid is efficient and commercially implemented, but its use becomes difficult at high generator temperatures (> 150 ºC), namely because of corrosion and thermal decomposition. Several other working fluids have been proposed for high temperatures. In this study, we focus on a recently proposed aqueous solution of lithium nitrate, potassium nitrate and sodium nitrite. We analyze the performance of a triple-effect
absorption refrigeration cycle that uses the traditional water/lithium bromide working fluid in the low-pressure zone and the alkaline salt aqueous solution in the high-pressure zone. We compare the performance of the proposed working fluid with that of a similar working fluid that is commercially available.
