Résumé

The research of energy performances of different scenarios of the hypothetical models of an office building in Belgrade is presented in the paper. Specific conditions of sites in downtown make limitations in building design and application of energy efficient systems, but also represent a provocation for architects. The case study shows two hypothetical models for which the following scenarios are created: basic scenario and scenarios of different solutions of envelope design. Various scenarios are carried out through the educational process on the Master studio design project. Assessment of the scenarios includes consideration of the heat and cooling energy demands, reduction of energy consumption for cooling in summer period by implementation of different shading devices and thereby reduction of CO2 emissions. Design of different models of the office building and scenarios of building facades, estimation of energy and environmental performances and comparison of the results are the research methodology applied in the paper.
