Résumé

CO2 as a refrigerant in cooling application is believed to have a prominent scope in warm weather countries like India in near future. In this article we present an ejector sub cooled trans-critical CO2 based refrigeration cycle and its thermodynamic analysis. The proposed configuration incorporates two intermediate separators and an ejector employed between gas cooler outlet pressure and the lower separator pressure. With the help of ejector, the vapour generated at low pressure separator is pumped to the high pressure separator and their by liquid in the low pressure separator is sub cooled. The performance of the proposed cycle is compared with an efficient parallel compression cycle for wide range of evaporation temperature. The result substantiates our
claim and exhibits better performance for the proposed configuration at all investigated conditions over the parallel compression cycle, a maximum of about 10% improvement in COP is observed.
